Neighborhood Impact Programs

The Neighborhood Impact Program, created in partnership with the City of Pasadena's Community Development Block Grant Funds, offers home improvement grants and deferred loans with below-market interest rates to income eligible residents of Northwest Pasadena to upgrade and maintain their homes. Recognizing the importance of community involvement, PNHS also organizes events that train and garner community participation in revitalization efforts.

Major Rehab Loans

This program has loan funds available for Pasadena residents that meet the income guidelines to help assist them with correcting code violations and meeting the health and safety requirements as mandated by the City of Pasadena. Maximum loan amount is $50,000.00 and interest rates can go as low as 3%. In extreme cases with senior citizens, the interest can be deferred. Read more >

Minor Home Repair & Emergency Grants

This grant allows Pasadena residents who qualify by income, access to Emergency Funds to make critical repairs to the property. Targeted towards senior citizens, PNHS can repair or replace heating units, repair leaking and/or faulty plumbing and electrical systems, clean up overgrown shrubs, trees and remove debris. Maximum grant amount is $5,000.00. Read more >

Banner Blocks

The Banner Block Program was established in 1982. Today several of these Banner Blocks are still actively pursuing self-identified goals. Banner Block activities include neighborhood watch programs, neighborhood clean-ups and workdays, block parties, and participation in community forums. Read more >
