Pasadena Neighborhood Housing Service has a long standing commitment to community revitalization. The Neighborhood Impact Program, created in partnership with the City of Pasadena's Community Development Block Grant Funds. It offers major home improvement grants and deferred loans with below-market interest rates to income eligible residents of Northwest Pasadena to upgrade and maintain their homes. Major Home Rehabilitation Loans

Loan funds are available for residents that meet the income guidelines to help with correcting code violations and meeting the health and safety requirements as mandated by the City of Pasadena. Maximum loan amount is $50,000.00 and interest rates can go as low as 3%. In extreme cases with senior citizens, the interest can be deferred.

Minor Home Repair / Emergency Grants

Grants are available for residents who meet the income guidelines. These emergency funds help residents make critical repairs to their property and are targeted towards helping senior citizens. PNHS can repair or replace heating units, leaking and/or faulty plumbing and electrical systems, overgrown shrubs, trees and remove debris.

We are Going Green

In conjunction with the City of Pasadena’s Housing Element General Plan and adopted Climate Protection Plan. Grants assist income qualified residents with their effort to “Go Green.” Grants maybe used to replace windows and doors with Energy Star® rated units, weather-stripping, low flow shower head replacement and installation of drought retardant California native plants to reduce water usage and updating irrigation systems.

2.Call the office to fill out application for the program you are interested in:
Major Rehab Loan Application
Minor Repair/Emergency Grant.Application
Green Grant Grant.Application

3. After you've complete the Application and compiled the accompanying documentation, you may submit it by mail or in person to PNHS office at 1190 North Fair Oaks Avenue, Suite #102 Pasadena, California 91103.
